Color, color and color! I have not been this excited about a new Vitamix product in quite a while. This is a long-time coming. Over the years I have seen Vitamix color containers in the commercial world and I hoped one day that Vitamix would bring this idea to the home consumer and at last they have!

Vitamix is introducing these amazing colors in the 48oz Self-Detect Wet Container and i’m going to give you guys some ideas on who and what they are best used for.

UNCOMMON BEST USES FOR VITAMIX COLOR CONTAINERS

Now here are some other uncommon uses for Vitamix color containers so check this out. Allergen-sensitive recipes. Food allergies affect a large population and a dedicated colored container for No-nuts or No-dairy for example would take the guesswork out of which container is a no no for certain recipes. Dog or pet treats. Homemade lotion. Homemade facial scrub. And having an extra colored container sitting on the counter adds a nice punch of color expression to your kitchen.

PARTY PRESENTATION IDEAS FOR VITAMIX COLOR CONTAINERS.

You may dedicate the Vitamix yellow container for salsa. Create your salsa and set it on a platter surrounding it with orange, yellow and red peppers along with heirloom tomatoes to give it that summer look.

Now, you may dedicate the Vitamix blue container for cocktails, especially made with fruits. Set it on a platter with blueberries or dark berries representing the types of drinks you’ll be making in this container.

At your summer parties you may want to make some healthy whole veggie juices. I love beets so often I make smoothie recipes with beets and several different vegetables. The Vitamix purple container is perfect for such recipes.

Lastly I want to touch on plant-based milks. I have been making a lot of plant-based milks on my channel recently, and you can use any one of these Vitamix color containers dedicated to plant based milks. For example almond milk. A Better, Bigger, Simpler Vitamix Foodcycler

Everyone needs a Foodcycler in their home whether it’s a Vitamix Foodcycler or any other brand. Food waste is a global issue. Having years of experience in the food industry I can attest to that. Either something is half-eaten or post food-prep there are so many food scraps left over that end up being put out to waste when they certainly could be recycled into something helpful like your garden compost.

INSIDE THE BOX OF THE VITAMIX FOODCYCLER ECO 5

Available in both the USA and Canada, included in the box with the Vitamix Foodcycler ECO 5 is a 5 liter food waste bucket with odor-blocking lid, carbon filter cartridge, carbon filter pellet packet, removable power cord (not shown), instruction booklet and information card. White and Slate colors will be available while White will be exclusive to Vitamix and select retailers. One note about the white color, depending on the lighting it looks more off-white or beige which can be a positive since bright white tends to show dirt very quickly. NEW MODEL FOODCYCLER ECO 5 VS. FOODCYCLER FC-50

The Vitamix Foodcycler ECO 5 has a nice modern look resembling a paper shredder or even a trash compactor which is very appropriate considering that it breaks down food. Unlike the older Foodcycler FC-50 the ECO 5 has an LED touchscreen in the front which makes it easier for many to reach and view the food cycling process if sitting on a counter.

TYPES OF FOOD WASTE THAT CAN BE RECYCLED IN THE FOODCYCLER

There are many food types that can be used to recycle in the Foodcycler ECO 5 but I recommend to check out the included owner’s manual.

FOODCYCLER ECO 5 HAS A LARGER CAPACITY FOOD WASTE BUCKET

If you’re a family of two then the Vitamix Foodcycler FC-50 with a 2.5 liter waste bucket capacity will be very suitable. For larger families or persons who do a great deal of food prep and composting then the Foodcycler ECO 5 with the 5 liter capacity waste bucket would be the best choice.

REMOVABLE POWER CORD

The rear of the Foodcycler ECO 5 contains a large slot for the removable power cord which also doubles as a storage slot for the power cord. One major gripe I have about the design of the ECO 5 is due to its weight of about 24LBS it’s difficult to lift for transport. I found using the power cord slot as a handle to be helpful but the ECO 5 needs two dedicated handles for easy transport.

All New Vitamix Propel Series 510 and 750 Review

So let’s talk about the new Vitamix Propel machines. Who are they for? What do they do? And with the other existing Vitamix machines, why are they here?

This is how i view the new Vitamix Propel series machines. if the Vitamix 6300 (which is the same as the Vitamix Pro 500) and the Vitamix Pro 750 had a baby it would be….the Propel. I kid you not, the Propel is a combination of the Pro 500 and the Pro 750.

On the left is the Propel 750 and it comes with the 64oz wet container. On the right is the Propel 510 and it comes with the 48oz wet container they both come with their respective tampers shown and the Fresh Blends recipe book. The Propel 750 comes with a 7 year warranty while the Propel 510 comes with a 5 year warranty.

Now that the Vitamix Ascent exists Vitamix is now creating two distinct lines of the full-sized machines because currently the entire line of blenders is fragmented.

So let’s talk about noise. The elephant in the room. In my testing the Vitamix Pro 750 on the right had a decibel level of 80 peak while the Propel peaked at 87 db so it was louder. You can hear this in my YouTube video presentation of the Propel Series models. The Pro 750 on the right is clearly quieter due to the built-in sound dampening materials.

The Vitamix Propel Series machines are designed to take the place of the Classic and G-series blenders which will be eventually phasing out. They were created to join the Explorian in the Good, Better, Best category and are great for a person who has an older Vitamix and wants to upgrade to a more modern model without spending too much, but there are limitations to the Explorian and the Propel models.

If you want quieter operation, more heavy duty build quality, digital timer, touch controls and a digital readout panel then the Vitamix Ascent A3500 is the one to go for.

Vitamix Immersion Blender

Just a quick few impressions on why I feel an immersion blender is helpful and important even if you already have a Vitamix blender. Often when creating soups and stews you can blend up your tough ingredients in the Vitamix first then pour the blended ingredients into your stock pot to finish cooking. Immersion blenders are extremely helpful when needing to add more ingredients to blend in your stock pot without having to pour them all back into your Vitamix to continue blending.

I have used immersion blenders for years and they are also perfect for mixing protein shakes, milkshakes and smoothies all in the same drinking cup, and they are also excellent for creating mashed potatoes.

ON THE SECOND DISC IS #4 THICK SLICE AND ON THE FLIP SIDE #5 LARGE SHRED.
